Assemblies
The whole school has assembly every two weeks, on Friday morning at 9am. Families are warmly invited to attend.

Attendance and Punctuality
Regular and punctual attendance is very important. Frequent absence has a negative effect upon your child's learning. If your child is away from school please contact the office and leave a message (Phone 828 7227/Fax 820 0249). As we have to account for all absences, a message or a note is important for us to comply with attendance regulations.

Bicycles
Children are encouraged to walk or ride to school.  All children on bikes MUST wear a helmet correctly at all times, and we also strongly recommend the use of helmets for scooter riders. Bikes and scooters MUST be walked through the school grounds to ensure safety for all.  A bike rack is located outside the office.

Communication with School
Good communication between families and school is vital.  If you have a query concerning your child, please follow the process below.

  • Make a time to talk to the classroom teacher.
  • If the matter is not resolved, you may need to make a time to meet with the Junior or Senior Syndicate Leader.
  • The matter may then be referred to the Principal.

Medical Problems and Medication
It is important that the school office is informed of any medical issues your child may have. Where possible, children who become ill at school will be sent home after a parent or emergency person has been contacted.

Messages to Children
Messages for children may be given to the office to be forwarded to the child/ children.

Sports
We participate in a variety of inter-school sports activities throughout the year.  These activities and events will be posted on the website calendar. All children are expected to take part in all fitness and sports activities. If your child has a medical reason for not participating, you will need to send a note to the classroom teacher.

Traffic Wardens
There are traffic wardens on Oakley Ave in the morning (8.30 - 8.50) and in the afternoon (3.00 - 3.15).  If you are crossing the road or driving past please take care and follow the wardens' signals.

PLEASE do NOT park on the yellow lines near the crossing as this restricts visibility and is dangerous.

PLEASE do NOT enter the school driveway in Oakley Ave when dropping off or picking up your child.  This is for the safety of our children.

Valuables and Mobile Phones
Please do not allow your child to bring valuable or precious items to school.  Items can get lost, stolen or broken at school.  If there is a special reason to bring such an item please give it to the classroom teacher to store safely. If your child needs to bring a mobile phone to school then they must hand it in to the office before school and collect it after school.
